Cabling is the only part of your network with a twenty-year service life, and it is the part most likely to be installed by whoever was cheapest. Untested runs, mixed categories, cable stapled to joists, no labelling, patch panels wired in whatever order the installer felt like — we walk into it constantly, and it costs businesses far more in troubleshooting hours than the original saving.

We install to TIA/EIA standards, certify every run with a calibrated tester, and hand you the results. If a link does not pass, it gets re-terminated before we leave, not after you complain.

What a proper cabling job looks like

Neatness is not vanity — it is serviceability. Dressed bundles, correct bend radii, service loops in the right place and a rack that opens without a fight all translate directly into faster fault-finding for years afterwards.

We handle new builds, tenant improvements, expansions and the increasingly common job of untangling a rack that four different vendors contributed to. Rack cleanups are some of the most satisfying work we do, and they routinely surface faults nobody had located.

Copper and fiber at a glance

Cat5e1 Gbps to 100 m. Adequate for legacy voice and low-demand drops; we no longer specify it for new data runs
Cat61 Gbps to 100 m, 10 Gbps to roughly 55 m. The sensible default for most office drops
Cat6A10 Gbps to 100 m with better alien-crosstalk and PoE++ heat performance. Our default for WiFi 6E/7 access points

FAQ

Questions about structured cabling

For general office drops, Cat6 is still sensible and cost-effective. For access points, cameras carrying high PoE loads, and any run you want to still be adequate in ten years, Cat6A is the better purchase. The cable is a small fraction of the installed cost; the labour to pull it again is not.

Always, and we consider it non-negotiable. Every run is certified with a calibrated tester and you receive the full report. A cabling contractor who will not hand over test results is asking you to take their word for it.

It is one of our most requested jobs. We document what is live, re-terminate and re-dress in a planned sequence, label everything, and hand you a rack elevation diagram. Downtime is scheduled and usually measured in minutes per switch.

Regularly. We coordinate rough-in with framing and ceiling schedules, and we prefer to be involved early enough that pathways get planned rather than improvised.

A 30-drop tenant improvement is usually two to three days including certification. Large warehouse or multi-floor work runs longer and is phased so occupied areas stay operational.
