Managed network support

Proactive monitoring, firmware management and a technician who already knows your building — because the person who installed your network should be the one who supports it.

Managed Network Support — Victel installation
The problem

Networks do not fail silently — you just have to be listening

Access points fail one at a time. Uplinks degrade before they die. Storage fills up weeks before the recorder stops writing. Almost every outage we get called into has a warning window that nobody was watching, and almost every one of them could have been a five-minute scheduled fix instead of a lost day.

Managed support means we watch the equipment we installed, act on the warnings, and keep the documentation current — so when something does need a person on site, that person arrives already knowing your rack.

  • Alerts on device failure, uplink degradation and storage limits
  • Firmware managed in planned windows, not at 3am
  • Configuration backups kept off the device
  • Documentation that stays accurate as the site changes

Why Victel

Support from people who built it

Most support contracts route you into a queue where the first hour is spent explaining your own building. Ours does not, because the technician who answers has the as-builts, the survey and the rack photos from the day it went in.

We keep this deliberately simple: monitoring and alerting, planned maintenance, unlimited remote configuration help, and priority scheduling for on-site visits. No tiers designed to make the useful features expensive.

  • 24/7 device and uplink monitoring with alerting
  • Scheduled firmware and security updates
  • Configuration backup and rapid restore
  • Quarterly health reports in plain language
  • Priority on-site response for contract clients
  • Unlimited remote support for configuration changes
How it works

Our three-step process

Documented, predictable and phased so your operation keeps running while we work.

1

Baseline & document

We audit the current state, capture configurations, and record a performance baseline so 'slow' becomes a measurable claim.

FAQ

Questions about managed network support

No. We support the systems we install whether or not you hold a contract — a contract buys monitoring, planned maintenance and priority scheduling, not the right to talk to us.

Yes, after an onboarding audit. We need to document what exists and correct anything genuinely unsupportable before we can promise response times on it. That audit is usually a day on site.

Generally no — we complement them. We own the network infrastructure layer: wireless, switching, cabling, cameras and access control. Your IT provider keeps servers, endpoints, identity and applications.

Remote response for contract clients is same business day, typically within a couple of hours. On-site response targets are agreed per contract, based on how much downtime actually costs your operation.

It is priced per site from device count and response targets. For most single-building clients it is a modest monthly figure — considerably less than one unplanned outage.
